3. Camphor is one of the home remedies for eczema that is not widely used. To make this treatment, you take one tablespoon of camphor and dilute it with sandalwood, making a paste. Apply this paste directly to the skin irritation, giving you instant relief from the discomforts that eczema presents.
4. Aloe Vera which is a subsidiary of the plant aloe which is abundantly found in South America, South Africa and the Caribbean is very effective and gives a soothing effect keeping it fresh all day when applied on the skin.
5. Certain factors act as triggers in worsening the condition of eczema. So, avoid getting exposed to sudden changes in temperature and take measures to prevent sweating and stress. Use mild soaps for bathing and ensure to use ample amount of water to rinse off the soap from your body.
6. Lotions, creams and ointments made of Chinese herbal formulas have been used to treat or eliminate eczema. By applying these topical treatments directly onto the affected areas, swelling and itching decreases.
7. Believe it or not, certain foods can help ease symptoms. With that said, you also need to be aware of the foods that can also cause your eczema to flare up, too. Food preservatives, dairy and any foods containing gluten can cause eczema to have an adverse reaction. Various vitamins and supplements can help the skin. In fact, vitamins like A and E are popular natural eczema remedies and are also quite effective.
